Online & Face to Face

Psychotherapy, Counselling & Clinical Supervision

Hello, I’m Jill, a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I understand that deciding to come to counselling can feel like a big step. You may know exactly what you want support with, or you may simply feel that something isn’t quite right and want a safe space to talk things through. Either way, you don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.

What I Believe

"I believe we all have the capacity to grow, heal and understand ourselves more deeply. Sometimes we just need a safe space, the right support, and someone willing to truly listen."

About Jill Kelter

I hold an MSc in Psychotherapeutic Counselling with Distinction and have worked therapeutically across a range of settings, including the NHS, higher education, charitable organisations, online counselling and private practice.

A significant part of my experience has been supporting people affected by acquired brain injury, including individuals and their families as they adjust to changes in relationships, identity and everyday life. I also work with people experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, loss, relationship difficulties, life changes, low self-esteem or simply feeling overwhelmed or stuck.

I also hold a postgraduate qualification in Clinical Supervision, which has further developed my understanding of safe, ethical and reflective therapeutic practice. I offer clinical supervision for qualified counsellors and counselling students, providing a reflective, supportive and collaborative space to develop confidence, ethical practice and professional growth.

Although my qualifications and experience are important, I believe the relationship between counsellor and client matters just as much. Finding someone you feel comfortable talking to can make a real difference.

I offer counselling face-to-face in Stoke-on-Trent, and online, giving you the flexibility to choose whichever feels most comfortable and convenient.

If you’re considering counselling and would like to find out whether I might be the right counsellor for you, you’re very welcome to get in touch.

I offer supervision for both student and practising counsellors, providing a warm and supportive space where you can talk openly about your work and the challenges that come with it.
